Excuse Me Your Life is Waiting

Lynn Grabhorn explains the Law of Attraction

Excuse Me, Your Life is Waiting clarifies why most of our dreams have never materialized and why the majority of us have lived with all-too-empty bank accounts.

Lynn Grabhorn's Excuse Me, Your Life is Waiting is the perfect complement to The Secret as seen on Oprah and Larry King Live. Though most of us can easily understand the concept of The Law of Attraction, successful implementation remains difficult for many people. Grabhorn's book removes much of the mystery and identifies ways to overcome the biggest stumbling block most people face when first venturing into the world of conscious creation--habitual negative thinking.

The Law of Attraction

Briefly stated, The Law of Attraction declares that like attracts like. The attractive forces are not physical characteristics, but energy characteristics. Everything, you, your chair, the computer screen you're viewing, and the table on which it sits, are just different forms of energy.

We attract objects and circumstances that have the same vibrational frequency we are displaying.

Grabhorn's Four Steps

Grabhorn shows us how to use the Law of Attraction to get what we want in life by following these four steps:

  1. Identify what you don't want.
  2. From that, identify what you do want.
  3. Get into the place of feeling the emotions of what you do want.
  4. Be open to accepting what the Universe sends you in response.

Two Critical Factors

Excuse Me, Your Life is Waiting makes two very important points, factors that are critical to attracting what we want for our lives:

  1. Most of us are used to focusing on the negatives in our lives: lack of money, relationship problems, unfulfilling work, and health problems. That's what we think about, what we talk about, what we read about in the papers, and what we see on television.
  2. The power behind the Law of Attraction is centered in our feelings. Though everything we think and talk about sets attraction in motion, those that express very strong emotion and feeling have the most attractive force.

This is why our lives aren't as we would like them to be and why we struggle with implementing the Law of Attraction to get what we want. We habitually focus most of our attention on the negatives of our lives with very strong feelings. The Law of Attraction assures that as we continue to focus on the negatives in our lives we will get more of the same.

Money

Let's take, for example, the subject of money. While intending to attract financial abundance, more money, we tend to make the mistake of concentrating our thoughts and energy on our lack of money. We complain about the cost of living. We declare that if we just had 10% more, everything would be terrific. We think about getting out of debt, getting rid of the old junker car, and finally taking a vacation. All when we get more money.

Without knowing it, we're still focusing our thoughts, words, and feelings on our lack of money. What we attract, therefore, is more lack of money.

The Power of Positive Feelings

Grabhorn suggests that the key to success in having a life we really can enjoy is to strive for positive feelings at all times. Positive feelings generate positive energy, which attracts more positive things into our lives.

We can do this by monitoring how we're feeling. If we're feeling down, blue, angry, or depressed, Grabhorn tells us to call up a memory or image of something that brings good feelings with it. Examples might be: the smile of a child, a pet's friendly greeting, the joy of a special song, or the image of an inspiring natural scene.

Consciously Use The Law of Attraction

Conscious creation is a matter of attracting the things of life we want as opposed to those we don't want. Because we habitually focus on the "don't wants" of life, we tend to attract more of the same. With conscious attention and practice we can re-focus our thoughts and feelings on what we truly want.

Excuse me, your Life is Waiting is a very spiritual book that helped me go beyond The Secret by learning to apply The Law of Attraction to every day life without feeling selfish or superficial, instead by findin God in this equation.

Though many years old and possibly out of print, this book is still a treasure for the person interested in the practical application of the Law of Attraction. Get this book along with any recent book from Esther and Jerry Hicks (Abraham series) for the inside scoop on using the Law of Attraction.

Great book full of truth! My question is this, just HOW do I stop the bad feelings? It's like figuring out that eating cookies and pizza all make you fat and all you have to do is stop eating them all day and you will be thin again. But we all know it's harder than that. we just can't stop ourselves despite our good intentions.
I don't ask this as a rhetorical question or to criticize this wonderful book, I really am asking for help on how to stop thinking and feeling yucky.

I don't mean to minimize the difficulty of stopping thoughts that aren't serving you, but they really are your thoughts. So the simple answer is to stop allowing them. When they come along, acknowledge them then shift to a nice thought about yourself. For example, that's (the yucky thought) not like me any longer, from now on I'll ...

The longer answer is that continuing something that seems to be something you don't want may actually be providing a benefit that you subconsciously wish to continue.

Wonderful reading! I read a book once that taught me all of this information and it totally changed and saved my life. It ony took 1 year and I was a new man. If I had to emphasize on one particular area that makes it all work is truly believing in the LOA but also understanding your subconscious mind and thinking habits..once you control those your on your way to a life full of happiness and control.
